The doctor's office called this morning with the results of Hannah's blood tests. No allergies (that were tested). So, what is causing the eczema??? Doc prescribed a steroid cream to treat it, and I used it for 2 days. The eczema cleared up nicely, but suddenly Hannah was being a LOT more sensitive to things and would cry sad (not the usual mad) tears at the drop of a hat. I'll only be using the cream for flare ups!I have a theory. I just thought of it this morning, so I'll let you know if it seems correct. Some people with eczema don't have enough essential fatty acids (EFAs) in their diet. You've heard of Omega-3 and Omega-6 essential fatty acids, that's what they are. Hannah's eczema started last winter, right around the time she weaned. Breastmilk has LOTS of EFAs... So, I'm thinking we'll try a supplement for her. It couldn't hurt!
