Like most 3 year olds, Hannah likes to ask "why?" all the time. BUT afew days ago I realized that when she asks "why?" she doesn't want areason, she just doesn't want to comply with what you are asking!
Example
"Hannah, I don't like to be pinched, it hurts." "why?"
"It's getting dark, time to go inside." "why?"
"Please share that with Elijah." "why?"
"Make sure Eli can't reach that" "okay"
"Will you help me?" "sure"
"Let's go pick up Daddy." "can we go inside?"
It's driving me batty, and I no longer explain "why" if I've already explained it.
