Ten Thoughts Tuesday - May 08, 2007

Hmmm... I wonder if I can come up with ten whole thoughts, lol!!
1. As of yesterday, I'm 30 weeks pregnant! Three-quarters of the way there, YAY!!
2. I made a summer calendar today for Hannah so she can see all the exciting things that are going to happen: last day of school, Daddy's birthday, Elijah's birthday, Lockie's due date, tentative dates for both sets of grandparents to visit, etc.
3. I started swelling last night :( so, today is a high protein, lots of water day! I've become swollen after my last two chiropractic adjustments... but maybe it's a coincidence. I fell off the high protein wagon while I had my stomach bug, so that probably has something to do with it too.
4. Pete is leaving for England on Thursday. I'm not looking forward to ten days without him!
5. On Sunday, I'll start the "maintenance" part of my Hypnobabies program. I've spent the last 10 weeks learning self-hypnosis, and I have to say it is AMAZING. I didn't think I'd be able to be hypnotized, but really wanted to try. I'm so glad I did! I spend the majority of my daily sessions (listening to a script on my MP3 player) in hypnotic amnesia which feels a lot like sleeping :) However, when you "wake up" just as the nice lady counts you up, you know it wasn't just sleep. I'm also able to go under instantly on my own using a certain technique, and I use post hypnotic cue to releive any pain I have. Our minds are an amazing thing!
6. I wish I knew this baby's gender so I could buy some CLOTHES for him/her!
7. It's been about 10 days since I had my glucose tolerance test, and I haven't heard from the doctor's office. He said "no news is good news", so YAY for no gestational diabetes!
8. I just got a copy of The Red Tent from PaperBackSwap.com, and I haven't read it in years. I can't wait to start re-reading it!
9. I really, REALLY need to get the kids' scrapbooks caught up before Lockie arrives. Elijah's isn't really even started! Their baby books are up to date, and I keep all photos in albums, but I like to keep the cards and mementos they receive in a special book (along w/ pics of any gifts)... It's the card books that are way out of date! I need to go buy some supplies as well...
10. What's the deal with Spider Man?? Why is he emblazoned on everything I buy from cheese to cookies? My kids haven't the slightest idea who he is, though are a bit frightend by his appearance. Do parents of potty training age kids really let their kids watch Spider Man? Because he's on the boy Pull-ups... I don't get it. I saw the first Spider Man movie in the theater, and I wouldn't let an under 10 (maybe 13) year old watch it. It was WAY too violent. Is there a kid's Spider Man cartoon?
Hey, I actually *had* ten thoughts in my head!!
