It was a crazy week! October 17, 2005

Last Monday I woke up at 5:30am feeling like I had food poisoning. An hour later I had been rushed via ambulance to the ER. I was severely dehydrated, but the cause was unknown. Four liters of IV fluids later, I was feeling like myself again. I was released from the hospital at noon on Tuesday still not knowing the cause of the problem. My parents drove 12 hours to stay with us for a few days to help out. We really appreciated their help, and only wish they could have stayed longer. Friday I had an appointment with my new family practice doctor, Dr. Blanke, where I heard the results of the cultures and blood tests that were done at the hospital. All the lab work looked fine (well the bloodwork wasn't fine Monday morning, but was ok by Tuesday) and I didn't have any infectious bacteria or parasites. Dr. Blanke has ordered a colonoscopy, but it hasn't been scheduled yet. I'm not really looking forward to that (the prep anyway)! Other than that, I'm feeling fine :) The Rosen Grandparents will arrive on Sunday for Hannah's birthday, so that will be helpful too!
